both these games were a massive step above current gen graphics IMO

what other games impressed ya'll graphically?

I got to say I was disappointed in most titles. They looked better than current gen but the leap wasn't as dramatic as I expected. However, MGS and 2K delivered in terms of graphical leaps in next gen. Hopefully games down the road can look as impressive as this.

Cut scenes are in engine.

That doesn't mean gameplay is going to look like that. Once you're really playing the game = streaming textures, throwing physics, AI, and the calculations that come with them at the hardware all of that stuff deteriorates.
