Honestly developers should just pick slots through out the year instead of waiting on E3. Hopefully Nintendo Direct can redeem it but with Sony missing it shows how trash it has been without them. Microsoft only had two games I’m interested in and those are multiplat. Capcom and Square conference was straight disrespectful to gamers. Honestly if Sony was up I think It would have made Microsoft have a better conference.
E3 is trash time to let this thing go.

I think if sony was forced to appear in this conference it would have still been lame, and this is from certified sony fan boy.
Being beholden to a date forced these companies to either show up empty handed or do what microsoft did and announce games with CG trailers that aren’t coming out until next year at the earliest and a lot that didn’t even have dates.
Sony would have probably done the same thing which is they avoided the train wreck altogether. We will get a sony conference when they have something impressive to show

I have such fond memories of E3 from The OG DS and PSP announcements to the unveiling of Kingdom Hearts 2 and Chain Of Memories, E3 used to be SOOOO HYPE.

I think most of the complaints have to do with having very little next gen showcases shown at the start of a new generation.
Elden Ring is easily my most hype game and it’s still pretty ugly. Especially compared to Demon’s Souls

There were games that showed “next gen” graphics.
From software games are never known for their graphics. Elden Ring looks amazing to me from an evolutionary standpoint compared to the souls games before it.

Elden Ring looks like a continuation to me, not an evolution. Which I’m fine with, I love soulsborne games.
I’d say the only thing shown that really showed any glimpse at being truly “next gen” was forza.
People were looking to ahve their minds blown and nothing was shown that did that
Crying to see startfield and elden ring for years you finally see it and its not enough, there was a ton of indie games and other things shown as well.

I feel like botw2, metroid, bayonetta and the final 2 smash characters can be shown tomorrow and people still won't be happy.
Over all it's a certain crowd that's "unsatisfied with E3".
Literally say some of the best looking next gen graphics the past few days at E3... But I guess since it wasn't a exclusive tech demo it doesn't hit the same.
