Eagles Brethrens, Why are we so quiet, We making quiet but solid moves

2 Years ago, we went balls deep in the Free Agency and Trades and ended up getting burned badly for the next two years. Nnamdi DRC Vince Young Ronnie Brown and Cullen Jenkins.

For the past two years were like , Trying to avoid the ridicule and cursing out Andy Reid amongst ourselves.

The eagle game threads last year were and , all at the same damn time

My Fellow Eagle Brethrens, the past two years have been tough.


Now under Chip Kelly we are making those quiet solid moves that win Championships

DE- Connor Barwin

S- Patrick Chung (Bye Nate Allen)

S- Kenny Phillips (Bye Kurt Coleman)

CB- Bradley Fletcher

DT- Isaac Sopoaga

CB- Cary Williams

TE/FB- James Casey

we ain't about that life anymore We learned our lesson.

Just need a solid Draft, get that bum Danny Watkins off that O Line and pick the best Guard or Tackle Available with the 4th pick and we will be straight. The Rest of the Draft bring in a Special teams guru returner (cough cough Tavon Austin) and character guys.

The Eagles are back, watch out in 2013-2014, everybody mark my words.

Loving the way the team is looking right now. Just a little clarification, why do i keep reading that graham/cole will be playing olb instead of de despite the change to 3-4 ? Cuz i know kendricks cant play up the middle and rotating the three with Barwin seems

I read somewhere in detail They are running a hybrid defense scheme (some downs they play 4-3 and other times 3-4) next season.

It will be their normal positions when they run the 4-3 cole barwin or graham at de with cox and dixon at dt. Demeco at mlb and Kendricks at rolb

Kendricks will play up the middle with Demeco with Barwin playing back as olb when they switch to 3-4 . The eagles are likely to draft or sign a true 3-4 olb if they don't use graham or cole in 3-4 sets (I heard Cole may get cut) and Barwin will definitely go on the other side at lb in 3-4 sets. (dixon and cox playing de in 3-4 sets)

Sopoaga likely projects as the nose tackle the Eagles will need when they line up in a 3-4 alignment on defense which might mean they won't need him on the field every down. But when they do line up as a 3-4, they will need a big nose tackle to occupy blockers in the middle of the line and that is what Sopoaga is.

I want to reserve judgement but this team looking like some cut right now

We doubled up on injury prone safeties w Philips and Chung, they gonna mentor Nate Allen in the training room

No OLB pass rushers. Graham, Cole, Barwin...not an intimidating bunch IMO. Vinny Curry did nothing as a 4-3 pass rusher, now he's slimming down to be an 3-4 OLB. SMH. We really should sign James Harrison to mentor the young pups

F. Cox is scheme versatile, he'll be fine. But we need another DE.

Based on Casey signing, we wont be getting a 3WR slot-type in draft and will utilize 2 TE sets.

Also seems like we're banking on Jason Peters returning to full health, drafting Fisher to be RT (and future LT) and getting bum ass Watkins off that RG spot.


If we're an average team this season, my expectation will be met. Hard to be optimistic so far.

Hope ya not Putting too much faith on Patrick Chung, he lost his spot on one of the worst defensive secondaries in the league....
