Although rappers use to go up to Hot 97 and spit back in the 90's, the more classic sessions that people remember took place in the early 00's (2000-2004) nikkas use to be glued to the radio and listen to there favorite rappers of the time go up to either Flex, Clue, or Kay Slay's show and spit for hours. Lets reminisce on that time bruhs.

After that Hot 97 State Prop first one, didn't Cass and Swizz call up to the studio, and set the infamous Cass/Free battle.....Free is def. WAY better artist, and is still doing his thing, while Cass is washed, up that battle...Cass got him. 'Put a beat on....Put a beat on'.

Those Lox freestyles are classic, 100%. I need to run those back. Jada had everyone thinking Dip/Lox were going to clash. When was that one? Mid 03?

If you ain't from the tri-state area those freestyles and mixtape's from the early 00's were hip-hop. Any mixtape had to have a lox exclusive on it for me to buy it. Monday night football and then DJ Clue.

I honestly was never crazy about this era, but the return of freestyling in hip-hop at a major level was one of the best things to come out of that time period.
