I had already renewed this month, so I just stacked 2x more years of gold via Amazon purchases. Accepted the promotion on the home page, boom:

It's basically a $450 value for $180 spread out over 3 years. So I figured why the hell not.

it never stopped working...the question was would it work if you have/had game pass ultimate...from your example it seems that it will...last time I made the mistake of only converting 1 year...this time I’ll do an additional 2 since I just got a 1 year subscription for $90

Let the Gold or Game Pass expire? I didn't have to let my Gold expire, and I didn't have Game pass (outside of a 3 month trial well over a year ago)

Props and rep OP, I did the 3 years of Gold a while back, but the $1 Ultimate wasn't working. Now it worked, and i got it till 2024

Exactly the route I went and I redeemed on my computer cause I went even cheaper and copped locally locked ones so had to redeem with vpn. I’m new to this but it seems when you redeem on PC and then go to set up your box you get to keep the XGPU promo thats comes with it. I have until like 2023 to redeem it but already got 3 years worth for like 105 total.

I just found out you can buy EA play 12 months and convert that to 4 months of Ultimate. Amazon is selling them for $30, so you can get a year of Ultimate for $90.

ya that’s what I used...I was also gonna try the OP’s method but glad I waited for more info cuz it doesn’t seem like it would’ve worked since I already have ultimate
