I think Public Enemy & Cube were more "conceptual" with the Fight The Power shyt.
You know, that teach & preach shyt.
Pac & Bob Marley were kinda the embodiment. Not only was it fight the power, but you felt the pain. There was a certain soulfulness/spiritual vibe about their music.Like they could give you that revolutionist shyt, but also lace it with that basic human emotion shyt.
Public Enemy could give you a Fight The Power, but they couldn't give you a Brenda's Got A baby, Keep Ya Head Up, or No Woman No Cry.......Neither could Ice Cube
I think Pac & Bob were more far reaching....They had that old "negro spiritual"/cotton field pain in their music.
Which, in a way, kinda helps to trascend the "Fight The Power" side of their work
