I've always been indifferent to Griffin as a comic. Hit or miss. He feels like one of those dudes in the hood that can make people laugh, but isn't consistent enough to be successful on the comedic stage the way Katt Williams could.

Just because he's done it for 30 years doesn't mean he's consistent. I've watched plenty of Griffin stand ups. They've all been meh to me with a few funny moments here and there.
