You right about the icon status and sold out arenas. Chappelle can never compete with that. Eddie along with Redd Foxx are probably the most naturally funny comedians ever

But as far as content, joke structure, story telling, timing, etc. Chappelle beats him easily. That's what I value more in a comedian
