It definitely is a grind and I'm at the beginning of it myself. Still, for anyone that is trying to stay in this game, I've been reading up enough. It does take time for sure. However, the method that I've seen people talk about and observed a bit myself, is that your blog is initially your writing resume. It's the only way I can think to describe it. Then from there, you submit your work to the powers that be and get your name out there (and of course, a legit paycheck). Then you keep grinding with the audience you are building. If you are serious, first figure out your audience, then use trend research to talk about what they are searching for. It seems reasonable that in around a year, you should be seeing a return that will help you maintain the site and (fingers crossed) be paying some bills. It's been hard to be discplined but I've been trying to train myself to make blogging a priority, especially as a vehicle for some mostly passive income.
Really, whats a quick outline and 500-1000 words with links to validate your info cost you in a day? Maybe like 90 minutes? Surely you spend that amount of time on your phone or watching TV anyway, right? The writing doesn't even have to be stellar...and I say that because it won't be until you get deep into the grind. But hey, do you. Hopefully this motivates anyone that has been on the fence about doing it to do it (or say fukk it and definitely don't do it lol)
