here is the stock symbol for cal-maine foods. they are the largest egg producer in the united states. I bought shares in this company a few years ago when people started bytching about egg prices. notice their meteoric rise, but they also pay over 6% annual dividends :win:

people were complaining about egg prices, and I decided to buy shares of the egg producer. I just checked, and I paid $61.53 per share.

Honestly food is such a negligible part of my budget, that I have no idea what eggs costed. It was news to me when people told me that it was higher during the election cycle.:manny:




I'm just learning now in this thread that the ground beef is more expensive than it was a few years ago. And I still don't really care.
Because EVERYTHING is going up. The answer is work harder and get your money up. Not cry to politicians for help lol.

The concern isn't literally over only the price of eggs, it's a basket of goods which staples like eggs, milk are measured.

And yes this affects families if the same amount they used to spend buys less

I assume the bird flu has subsided as I haven't seen crazy prices at the market lately
