I think I understand the point he’s making. Basically saying it’s better to pick a random person from a pool of people instead of people who lobby for it . In a vacuum it could work but we’re not in a vacuum.

How will the people elect their leader from the process you just described. The ability of the majority to choose their leaders via election is literally the definition and function of a democracy

Idk the logistics of it:yeshrug:its a pipe dream . Of course we can’t change the way we do it but we also can’t deny more than likely the way it’s done just causes the most power hungry people to run not the best
