The long-awaited light rail service started service in the Nigerian commercial hub yesterday (Sep. 4). The Blue Line Rail, built by China Civil Engineering Construction Corp, will eventually span a 27-km (17-mile) corridor. For now, the first 13-km phase, linking Mile 2 in the largely residential mainland part of the city with Marina in the commercial center of Lagos Island, has begun operations.

If this is what I think it is— and it has to be— a Black American brother was a major part of it by the name of John Cashin. Idk if he still goes on, but he used to come on Dynast Amir/Search For Uhuru’s YouTube a few years back and they’d link up when Dynast was in Nigeria. He was talking about this a few years ago….

Yeah, so the project was conceived in the early 80s by the civilian government of Lagos and was supposed to be completed around 1987. But there was a military coup in 1983 and the military boys scraped the plan for whatever reason.

Nigerians have a sick habit of putting down the country. These dumbasses can't separate criticizing the terrible government and the country.

China continues it's influence in Africa as America appears to watch helplessly.

Light rail is the way. They are doing it in different countries. Israel is expanding it's light rail system around the country. It's a nice way to get around.

Helplessly? Nah, America is a big dog that can compete if it wants to. America doesn't have time for poor Africans right now. Oh well :yeshrug:
