Three years ago. And if LIG isn't great to you, then Untitled, Distant Relatives, and Hip Hop Is Dead all would have been very good to great albums during any era, just like they were during the eras they were released.

And if we're going by that logic, then Rakim shouldn't even be in consideration.

half of those albums stunk.:scusthov: they would be career suicide if they dropped in any of the golden eras.

shoot, nastradamus is better than a couple of those albums youre proppin up, which further illustrates my point that all eras are not created equally.

and on top of that, the rap game was completely different back then. its moreso boils down to administration nowadays. nas could be around for 20 more years, and it still wont be as impressive as an '80s rapper lasting about 7 years.

Those albums would of been considered mediocre albums during the Golden Era(87-96).

shieett, they wouldve been considered mediocre in '97-03 as well.

:pachaha:

Ra has done basketball arenas and was during big tours around the world when Nas was tagging along behind his little brother.

:damn:
