First of all the link you posted is broken. But to contextualize what you're referring to, they were mad because he was publicly shorting their currency. It's the most overt way of publicly declaring "This thing is shyt" because someone is putting their money where their mouth is. Nobody being shorted ever responds to it positively, this is true for companies or countries.

So I responded to your link. It's just more telling is you didn't read mine or any serious reporting of the situation if you're still believing his short position had anything to do with Baht failing. You're literally wrong on a fukking FACTUAL basis yet still choosing to bite down on an incorrect take like a stubborn moron. To be clear, I'm technically a "Soros supporter" and think Musk alone deserves all the heat here. And I still think the way he made billions by shorting currency is a shytty thing to do. To go even further, I think he has a history of not acknowledging the ethical implications of his financial decisions and feel he did more harm than good in making his money. In my mind, the good he does by donating money to good causes doesn't make up for those ill-gotten gains.


But that's neither here nor there, because all the right-wing billionaries and their syncopants who are attacking Soros don't give a rats ass about billionaires making money by fukking other people over. They LOVE that shyt. So the sole reason they're attacking Soros is due to the actual good things he did with some of that money afterwards.

I participated in the Gamestop squeeze to the extent that I was (and still do) commenting on SEC proposals and rule changes on short selling. I got banned from the HL stock thread by those billionaire dikksuckers for those sentiments so believe me when I say I'm no friend of short sellers either.

But even I can see how much of a stretch it is to claim he is a cause of that collapse.
