I doubt people are gonna be okay with letting their taxi/uber/lyft job just vanish like that. In general, technology is taking jobs away. People won't like that.

Unless, in this current environment, those auto-cars are taking people to emergency services, I doubt this will go over well. People I don't think people are all that enthused about self-driving cars enough to trust their life to one.

It might take a significant UBI program to assauge those fears.

:patrice:What if their safer than human drivers, and lead to a significant reduction in deaths? Surely that trumps jobs no?

I'm shocked there still hasn't been a class action lawsuit for the Full Self-Driving option Tesla's been selling for years now :hhh:
