He was largely underrated during his prime years before the injury, but he always put up good numbers. I Remember when he was an MVP candidate in like 05'-06 with the Clippers when they made the playoffs and he had lost a lot of weight. Think they were like a 5th or 6th seed. I remember Sam Cassell playing out of his mind in the playoffs that year and they beat Melo and the Nuggets. Always respected Brand's game.
he was a 20 /10 player before he tore his achilles, think the season before he put up like 24 and 10 a game.

It was becsuse of the $$$. But if you remember Baron was coming off of the best season of his career, was on a Warriors team that won 48 games, and had actually played 82 games the previous season. Great team player.
Had a good career but the Achilles injury changed his whole trajectory after that. He was never the same player anymore and he couldn't get that explosion that he used to have. Still had a good career though and was basically guaranteed 20/10 when healthy.
