Some of you have websites or some type of online presence for your business/hobbies.

If you aren't collecting emails - you are hustling backwards.

  • You don't own your FB fan page.
  • You don't own your Twitter page.
  • You don't even own your Coli account
:mjpls:

The real Coli owners can ban your ass if they feel like it.

But you do own your domain.

You own your website.

You own your email list and can contact the subscribers as much as you want as long as you not blatantly spamming and scamming.

This thread is about building email lists and email marketing.

Making money sending emails :whew:

My favorite pastime.

Something every business owner should be doing.

Your business does not have to be internet based to profit from email marketing.

Your local barbershop could increase revenue if they learned basic email marketing and collected the email address of every nikka they cut.

Anyways - I'll be back to drop some game.

And other cats who have experience in email marketing - share the wealth.

This thread ain't mine.
I don't own this shyt :troll:

Quick post this morning....

Later in the thread, i'll post examples of GOOD emails and BAD emails - in regards to selling.

But first - it's important to understand this:

Never sell through email until you build rapport with an email subscriber.

To make it super easy to understand (because this shyt can get complicated when you have +1,000 email subscribers)....... let's say you have ONE email subscriber on your list - Dave.

Dave signs up to your email list about how to tie your shoe laces.

And you have a great eBook for $19.95 that teaches people how to tie their shoe laces.

When Dave confirms his email subscription, what should your first email be about?

Well...

It shouldn't be about your eBook.

Dave is the only person on your list so you can make the email personal like you are talking to him one-on-one.

  • Ask Dave why he is having trouble tying his shoe laces
  • Ask him what he is looking for on your website
  • Give him useful tips about tying shoe laces
  • Tell him a story about how you learned how to tie your shoe laces
  • Link him a blog article on your site about shoe laces

By now, you should notice what your first email should be about - > something valuable, useful and FREE for Dave.

  • A free eBook
  • A free *live* webinar
  • A free 15 minute call
  • An email with actionable advice

Make it all about him. People love reading/hearing about themselves.

Use a lot of "you", "your" and less "I" and "me".

Dave doesn't care about your business. He cares about how his problem can be solved - and if your business can solve it.

Sometimes one useful email is enough to make a sale.

These customers are usually your most aware readers - > How To Double Your Success In Online Business - Adventures In Copywriting

But for most potential customers, they will need multiple (frequent) emails to motivate them to buy a product or service from you if the problem isn't urgent (an urgent problem is like plumbing issues)

I can get long-winded but it's the reciprocal principle in play, read about it in Influence: The Psychology Of Persuasion by Robert Cialdini.

Dave will feel fortunate and in debt to YOU and in turn, he'll want to give you something in return.

Perhaps, $19.95.

True. Later I'll update the OP with my posts in order.

I don't have experience with B2B marketing. I'll check out the names mentioned.
