Don't get it twisted, that was indeed Blumenthal's aim. The guy is the scum of the earth. But to say he or anyone else in the Clinton camp "created" the Birther movement is a lie. The movement was already alive and well. Folks like Blumenthal just wanted it to explode into another Jeremiah Wright type media controversy. The same with the Michelle Obama "whitey tape"--Hillary's camp had their fingers crossed hoping it was real and would come out before Obama locked down the nomination. But short of that, they wanted to scare Dem voters away from Obama for fear that McCain would kill him with this shyt in the general.

Obama was so untouchable that Hillary was left reaching like Stretch Armstrong for bullshyt like this. But none of it compares to what Trump actually did.

Yea I remember the attempt to "other-ize" Obama, and the info in the OP shows that. But it's patently false to claim the Hillary camp or anyone associated with them created birtherism.

The beauty of that 08 campaign was that Obama was too brilliant, too smart for any bullshyt to stick. Everything the Clintons tried failed, just like everything the McCain camp tried failed. The Clinton camp especially was too outdated and out of touch to handle a candidate who represented the future. And the funny thing is that Hillary is the same tired, out dated candidate today. The difference is she has Obama folks working for her. And yet still looks shaky. Yea she'll win but she should be doing better IMO
