Embiid is the MVP, followed by Giannis. Jokic can't be a 6th seed winning MVP

Embiid is about to become the 1st center since Moses Malone in 1982 to average over 30. Giannis is still in his MVP form and is the best 2 way player in the league, he's the most complete player.

Jokic is great but why is he the overwhelming fav according to betting and the ESPN poll?

One of the key criteria for MVP has always been the best player on one of the best teams. Over the last 40 years at least, that's been the case.

How many MVP's would Jordan have won in the 80's if team record wasn't so important? Kobe would have won the 2006 MVP as well.

Jokic is getting that white boy tax from the majority white journalists who vote this award. They cream themselves any time a white guy performs above expectation :mjpls:

The way they keep on changing criteria to suit their agenda is unbelievable.

Why advocate for this?

I'm assuming you're also an advocate for baseball writers never unanimously electing anyone to the hall of fame, because that's how it's always been done.

I'm not advocating for anything just stating the way its always been done. I don't even agree with that

Bucks & Nets have 49 wins and the Nuggets have 47, thats what your basis here is ? Jokic has carried trash all season, this is the only place where I see people try to diminish his season, I dont get it

Embiid being the first center to score 30 since Moses holds more weight than Jokic resetting the record book on advanced stats damn near? Why?

Giannis is ahead of Embiid and Jokic imo

Not to be :mjpls: but Jokics best teammate this year has been Aaron Gordon and theyre still going to win around 50 games. Seeds doesnt mean much bc theres maybe a game between a lot of teams

Its not like Denver went .500

I think all 3 of Giannis, Embiid & Jokic have strong cases, it could go any direction IMO and it wouldnt be the wrong choice

but the reasons people use to try to discredit Jokic are just dumb

It's hilarious how this board thinks there's some agenda behind Jokic's MVP campaign, when nobody, and I mean literally nobody, even mentioned him heading into last season. Except he pushed himself into the frame because his play warranted it. Just like he was barely mentioned in the MVP discussion heading into this season - it was all about KD, Embiid, Luka etc. Again, Jokic's name wasn't really mentioned like that. Enter the season and over the first third it was a two-man race between KD and Steph, then Embiid and DeRozan pushed themselves into the discussion shortly thereafter, and again, Jokic was an afterthought. It was only his level of play that got him into that discussion as it did the year prior.

This board is the bastion of box score stats, and here Jokic is averaging 27 ppg, 14 rebounds and 8 assists, all without his #2 and #3 options for the entire season, carrying the team to one of the best records in the league, and yet somehow, there's an agenda behind giving him MVP.

Y'all dumbass nxggas spend all this time worrying about what you think is going on behind the curtain instead of just enjoying and appreciating what's happening on the stage.
