rakim did his best work with Eric b
jay did his best work with dame
biggie had diddy
pac did his best work with suge
Eminem did his best work with dre
snoop did his best work with dre
Kendrick did his best work with dre
face did his best with Jprince
etc etc

nikkas need someone who has a strong personality who will tell them when shyt is wack and make a sure shyt is fire. This shyt applies to most Emcees. I can thinking very few who made classic shyt who didn't have someone behind the scenes pulling their coat.

This is true.

To add to the list, Nas's best albums are the ones he didn't executive produce by himself:

Illmatic- Executive produced by Faith Newman and MC Serch

It Was Written- Executive produced by Nas, Steve Stoute, and The Trackmasters

Lost Tapes- compiled by an A&R at Columbia

God's Son- Executive produced by Steve Stoute and Nas

Life Is Good- Executive produced by Nas and Anthony Saleh

^^^ Stillmatic is an exception. Destiny got Executive producer credits (Nas more than likely Executive produced it and gave her credit to help secure her future. She will collect(s) points off this album if I'm not mistaken)
