I always say that's really what made him blow. The Dre co-sign and him being white were vital...but I honestly think the biggest catalyst was him really making himself vulnerable in the same way Pac did to make people care about him and his story even when the music cut off.

If you listen to Infinite he was just somebody that knew he could rap good, a lot of people wish he had stayed that in that zone and made more traditional sounding rap when the truth is he would have just ended up random rawkus rapper #5. He didn't become a full fledged artist until he started utilizing his pain...and even then it took almost quitting rap and a suicide attempt to for him to get to that point.

I admire anybody that figures out how to turn shyt into sugar.

u about get alot of flack on this thread bruh just letting you know, but yea he was one of a kind. not so sure about now since his music isn't a potent as it once was but he still shows signs of greatness at times. i usually just listen to his diss records and his other songs with actual content in it. all of the wacky shyt he did aged badly.

Even with the shock value lines and the bugs bunny type humor, he was really working through said demons. First time I heard Brain Damage I just took it as face value, I didn't really understand that oh he actually got beat up by some kid to the point where he had a cerebral hemorrhage and ended up having to learn how to walk and tie his shoes and shyt again.

He, like a lot of people was using his humor as a coping mechanism.

Em use to be GOAT

I don't know about now:dame:

MMLP2 was the worst album I ever heard from him , even worse than Encore

In fact I even appreciate Recovery more than MMLP2

At his best this was the quality that made him a superstar. There have been lot's of technically proficient rappers, there have been lot's of funny rappers, but Ems ability to break the the 4th wall and let you into his psyche is 2nd to none even if his music has been wildly inconsistent the past 5 years or so.
