Eminem vs. Macklemore

If you were forced to listen to one of these two rappers, who would you pick? Eminem seems to represent lower class to middle class rebellious whites, whereas Macklemore is supported by the liberal white elite.

Me personally, I think Eminem respects hip hop more and thus gets the nod. Macklemore seems like a dude who thinks he's above the music whereas Em integrated himself into the black community working with other black rappers like Royce, Dre, etc.

I prefer Eminem, but I'm curious as to what makes you say that Macklemore seems like he's "above" the music. He doesn't sing, raps on every song, made a hit on a horn loop, acknowledges white privilege in hip-hop like Em, and works with black rappers. TDE's Ab-Soul and Schoolboy Q are both on his album.

Did you ever actually listen or REALLY check him out...or are you rolling with the IDEA of Macklemore the way people rolled with the IDEA of Eminem after seeing "My Name Is" blow up?

Going of their latest albums, it's quite close.
They both rap fast and spit multis, at least Macklemore has a subject of matter and some creative songs.
While Eminem might still edge him out technically.
