It's not the accents that are the problem. It's his entire voice. He doesn't have the same voice he had when SSLP came out, and it's been steadily getting worse since then. That's not to say that his album making ability suffered in the early 00s; Dre made the best use of him while he was still a capable MC. Something has left him though; I don't know if it's lack of practice, or simply losing his voice after yelling or recording too much. Whatever the case, he's not going to make music like he did before.
