The 9 points could have been from one serious incident like drunk driving, using her phone whilst driving, leaving the scene of a crash or multiple speeding incidents.

Additionally 30mph zones are for built up residential areas where there are going to be people walking around, kids, babies in prams, etc.

In 30 zones you can get away with about 32/33. Up to 35 will get you a speeding awareness course. Anything over you’re getting done.

Some of our roads will trap you by having a 40mph zone and then all of a sudden its 30mph with no/hidden signs to indicate the change. Not saying that's the case for her but it's happened to me and my brother a few times.
