I still watch it for the fukkery just like in Season 1 but while in Season 1 the fukkery was enjoyable, in Season 2 the fukkery is borderline embarrassing. I still watch but most of the time I am laughing at the show and not with it.
So it goes without saying that the show has a bunch of problems but none of them are insurmountable and could be fixed with a few tweaks but first they need to recognize the mistakes that were made.
They need to fix the character of Annika or just get rid of her. They screwed up by not having her and Lucious get married last season so that regardless of their relationship ending she would have still had a stake in Empire and been a presence at the company. But having her as this orbiting desperate fukk toy is disgraceful.
They need to re-establish the original dynamics between Jamal and Cookie/Lucious. Jamal as the right hand to Lucious doesn't work. One of the best things about the first season was Jamal and Cookie battling Lucious. They need to get back to that ASAP.
This whole Andre finding Jesus shyt is stupid. Andre and Rhonda should be scheming to get as much power as possible at Empire using everything from blackmail to kinky sex to accomplish their lust for power.
They also need to learn to slow shyt down and let storylines breath and be organic instead of hotshotting everything.
And stop with the celebrity guest stars! I read something lat week about Rosie O'Donnell being on the show this season. Who the fukk was looking for Rosie O'Donnell?

This has been known since last season. But it's gotten worse..their story lines last one episode, maybe two. It's like they cram a whole half a season in one episode. It's entertainment but retarded as hell.

The show is still very entertaining, I think the story line is so over the top that they (the writers) have set the bar too high. Since the show is based on a high level of fukkery, it was bound to have ebbs and flows in terms of how eventful each episode will be. I'm sure if the ratings start to slip, we will see main characters killed off and new ones introduced to keep people interested.

They definitely are doing too much this season and not in the hilarious fukkery filled way it was last season. This season has been terrible, like no way luscious shouldn't still be in jail, that had potential, Chris rock this king pin and got offed like he never had clout..,wtf? What happened to luscious's trial? Vern being killed season 1 was dumb also....Hakeem was kidnapped for all of 3 minutes and two camera angles
