Cause it was like 70 bucks in 95 which is well over 100 when adjusted for inflation today

:ehh: that'd be a good reason why then. I can't see many people in my country ass town especially in the mid 90s spending $100 on a video game. I never had interest in it because when I was about to rent it one time I found out it was an rpg and I never got into those as a kid outside of Super Mario RPG....

Earthbound is one of those rpgs series that once you start playing you can’t stop. Specifically Mother 3 I put up there in the Chrono Trigger/Dragon Quest 8 / FF7 tier of Jrpgs
