exactly, I remember when Beastmode stepped in to buy a soul food spot out in North Oakland/Emeryville that was about to shut down. if there is still a demand for the service or venue, why not?
compare a soul food spot in Oakland to a venue that holds over 1-2k people in the most expensive city to live in the world brehs.
Even if the BB King brand cant continue in the city due to lack of demand, a group of black investors should still buy the block which is my overall point.

Harlem is not gentrified, gentrification efforts are occurring but whites are far from the majority there. There’s a lot of housing projects in Harlem and a lot of community pushback.

Williamsburg, Brooklyn is an example of a gentrified neighborhood.

You're bugging I live on the Eastside and my building has gone from 0 white people to about 25% white in 8 years. White people are moving in the neighborhood at an accelerated rate. I don't know how u could say it's not being gentrified. It's been that way ever since Trump bought 1990 back in 06'

I said gentrification efforts are occurring. But Harlem isn't gentrified. Williamsburg, Brooklyn is gentrified, there was a complete demographic shift. Harlem still has a ton of public housing which makes gentrification more difficult and there's a lot of community push back in Harlem not to mention there is a growing African community in Harlem.

Senegal, growing African community in Harlem, adds diversity

:manny: that's pretty much it.

It was after a performance and I don't think people knew who he was, even in this environment. The next performer was on stage and He went to the bar to get a drink, dolo, and i was shocked that no one acknowledged him. He literally just got off the stage like an open mic night and went back into the crowd :russ:

I walked over to him like I would anyone else and I said "big noyd right?" And he literally squared up, raised his fists and said "yeah? :birdman:"

:russ:

I said :whoa: I'm a fan, good shyt up there. We laughed it off and he dapped me up. I don't look intimidating at all either. Guy looked like he spent the last 4 years in a German trench he was so on edge.
:mjlol:

Kinda crazy people wouldn't acknowledge him considerinf he just got off the stage, lol. Noyd aint a household name by any means in 2018, but we're talking about somebody who has gold and platinum plaques to his credit, done songs with Mariah Carey, been in movies, etc. He ain't exactly MC Joe Schmoe. He has classic hip-hop verses to his credit.

Alot of them QB dudes prolly were always on edge considering the environment they came up in coupled with their size. I remember seeing P and Noyd with Alchemist at a show back around '01, '02ish and them dudes were small as fukk.
