how is it really possible to get the full experience without the experience of driving and letting the music take you somewhere. i live in ny so i drive and commute on public transportation. when i was younger i also lived in south carolina during my sophomore year of high school so i got a car. that's when i really started to notice a profound difference in experiencing music while driving, either alone or with friends. i'm not saying it's required, but cars are apart of the culture and listening while driving is something that can't be replicated when you're not. the sound and the feel of it is just better. any thoughts?

That's why bass is so prevalent in the South. We listened to our music in cars. Boom Bap was popular in the East cause it's the perfect music to listen to on headphones riding a subway.

I actually prefer the bus if I'm really trying to get into the music or even write. It's something about the consistent movement in a car that kinda puts you in that meditative, subconscious zone, problem is how do you remember lines while you steering?

I'd pay a nikka to chauffeur me around but I don't trust people enough to be that comfortable with them driving, being in a big ass bus, or on a train I would imagine gives you that same feeling, but an extra sense of security even with all the people around.

It's also dope to see people kinda in their own world musically, sometimes you might look up and see people dancing and nodding to all different tunes, it's cool.

Good headphones. I agree a car lets you really zone out to the beat/feel the layers, but the times I lived where public trans or walking was my commute, I really listened to the lyrics, you can really zone out since you don't have to lay attention to the road. I also have a set of klipsch speakers I've had since college, just play shyt while I'm cooking or fukking around on the net or playing games
