at one point in time erick sermon production credits were any and everywhere. this compilation was great because it was another outlet used to showcase e double's production skills and def squad and their affiliates talents. imo erick sermon made the best knockin' but smoothed out music in all of hip hop. it's one thing to have a smooth beat but to have it have that knock with that gritty but smooth soulful sound is somethin' else.

this album plays out like you listenin' to a whole radio station with no commercials by your favorite crew and their affiliates songs. i love that concept and the way the skits play into each of the songs too.

I enjoyed this album

The redaman and Keith Murray joints are hot

And that song "On the Regular"

yes! :salute:

this is one of those albums i can listen to for weeks at times and never skip a song. erick sermon had a knack for pickin' the right samples and emcees to spit over them. his production was funky but smooth.

again, i can't say enough about how great the concept was to have the album play out like you're listenin' to the radio. i love how the radio dj comes inbetween songs and ties the songs together as interludes.

This and Double or Nothing gets crazy spins

same here

a lot like dj premier, erick sermon had this knack for keepin' his sound fresh. he could use several of the same samples ( not just of the 70's soul and funk songs but sometimes the samples of his or his artists' songs) a number of times and still find a way to make it it refreshin' and somethin new.

erick is a genius at reworkin' samples, makin' beats and producin'.
