Super underrated, Rza once said that every producer he's ever seen work (incl himself) "borrowed" something from Marley Marl and Erick Sermon.

One of the GOATS for sure.

Yeah Erick doesn’t get his props but the more I go back and really listen to his production work again, he moves up further on my list of my favorite producers

Dude’s catalog of production work stands among the best of the best

His drums are by my favorite in hip hop.

Top 5.

Dre also said that Erick inspired him with using the funk too. The OG's always show Erick love, but he's mad low-key and humble. Redman just said recently that he wishes Erick would be more "out there" and letting people know about his legacy.

Yessir

And it shows too.

Red is right; Erick gotta remind people how important he’s been to hip hop

There was a moment in time, almost everyone was getting their music produced by Erick.

Erick is the only dude ever, to be on the run from the police and still making music and videos like nothing is going on. LOL!! When he ran to Atlanta to hide out, he was down there making a lot of dope sh*t.

Yoooooo!!

This is my favorite E-Double era! I copped this album on cassette when I was a kid. This is when he was dropping classics left and right! I remember one of my best friends had the CD and it had "Female Species" on it, but it wasn't available on the cassette. So I had to go back and get the album on CD too, just to get that one song. HAHA!
