Also one of the things I've realized since I've been in media is that some of these people have tunnel vision.

I was at a boxing match and I was telling someone who I was and one dude who worked for fight hype had no clue who Bill Simmons was. I'm like how the hell do you not know Bill Simmons or the 30 for 30 documentary series. He just lived in a boxing bubble.....I'd imagine Monica was probably the same with basketball growing up.

I've always been a generalist so I tend to just know a lot about everything and then a few verticals I can dive deeper in, I would assume sports media would focus on generalist for their general programs and get the specialist for the infield vertical stuff

The broad just saw the name Sanders, when Shedeur was the topic, on a Jersey with no name on it or anything. If you have zero interest in football you don't know Detroit's jersey, it's not like Chicago Bulls or Lakers jersey.

With that being said, basketball analysts who don't have a broad sports interest, should not be on broad shows like Sportscenter, they should stay in their lane
