ESPN needs to stop talking New York Sports if they think NYC has always been a Yankee town

I mean i am watching this and it is laughable that they think NYC has always been a Yankee Town, no offense but the Yankees dominating NYC has only been recently( as of 99 to be honest) .. Since the Mets inception the Mets ran NYC and in the 80's up til the Yankees got Derek Jeter it wasn't even close that the mets ran NYC so i don't get this notion that Jalen is talking.

And to be honest if the MEts can string together just 3 playoff winning seasons and a world series it will be back to being 50/50 and the MEts taking over again.

They have been a factor in almost every other decade. If I'm not mistaken, they average a chip once a decade. That's pretty good.

Again where you in NYC those yrs 98 when the Yankees ran thru everybody it was a wrap but 96, It was more about Mets and Gen K til the end of the season..

and was it a MEts town in 15 when Cesepedes and Murphdog came thru can carried the Mets to the WS so stop acting stupid

They only time the Mets ran the city was in the 80's. As long as the Wilpons own the Mets they couldn't run a parking lot, that said that once every 7-8 years when the Mets are actually good there is a buzz in the city that you just don't get with the yanks
