"They Were Her Property" by Stephanie Jones-Rogers, goes into detail on them. A lot of people just don't know that white women are probably the biggest purveyors of white supremacy and maintain its existence.
White women will tell Black women they don't need "patriarchal" Black men all the while voting for a man that says, "grab'em by the p*ssy" (https://www.thecut.com/2020/11/many-white-women-still-voted-for-trump-in-2020.html). They understand it is important for their men to be white-identified so to continue to maintain this system in which they live and are treated as Queens. It is important for white men to not only be white-identified but aggressively dominant and know they (white men and women) are white and deserve everything in life.
If a white woman sees a Black kid leading a team sport, she'll be the first one to start telling her son to not follow that Black kid's lead and that he needs to start taking charge and leading.
Not just team sports but education, they hate seeing Black kids outperform their own because they understand it is a threat to their position.

White women know that Black women are smarter and stronger than they are, and they also know that if Black women start treating their sons and men as white women do to their sons and men, that the power shift will be swift and strong. So it is important for them to keep Black men and women at odds.
