This whole Ethiopia thing is so left field(tho the west is always meddling) ...last I recall everyone was praising the new Ethiopian president about...

• Normalizing relations with Eretria
• Releasing political prisoners
• Restoring normal politics
• etc

...the only issue in the air other than that I was aware of was the Ethiopia / Egypt hydroelectric Dam water rights political tussle.
Now if Egypt(who controls suez canal) pulled some strings to get outsiders to meddle I could see that.

Last I heard they had a cease fire to get humanitarian aid in but the Ethiopian government said Tigre isn't abiding by the cease fire and just using it to gain an advantage.

Also isn't one of the issues that the Ethiopian government went back on some of it's original agreements in letting the different ethnic groups govern their own areas?
