Besides how they murder the beat, what made it iller to me was I knew exactly who Push was referring to when he said Kemba. Basically Kemba Smith was a naive college student attending Hampton U, who ended up dating a drug dealer. Based on her dealings with him she caught a conspiracy case in her boyfriend's cocaine ring and got a 24.5 year sentence as first time, non-violent offender in the mid-'90s. Her story made national news and eventually her sentence was commuted by Pres. Clinton in 2000. Pops got Emerge Magazine and that's why I was hip to her story.
