Scuzzy. Definitely keeping in line with the rawness of Yellow, Red, and Green Tapes. It's interesting to listen to the differences between the four, in how the style and vibe on each has progressed further and further into dystopia and delusion.

Just recently bought the red, yellow & purple tape instrumental albums in preparation for this Green joint (that arrived today).
The real chore is trying to remember where you heard some of the beats he's used on rappers back in the day. Especially the old, Dilated era stuff.
Anyone care to match up where all these Ev beats have been heard previously?

That's also true. Especially telling in how some of the drums stick out like they don't quite belong.
I'm interested to see what his single production contribution sounds like on Lord Steppington. At this rate, we may never hear it. Music video for Step Masters should be dropping within the week (or two).

Scrolling was co-produced by Khrysis and was used by Raekwon for a song called The Scroll. Ev gave him the beat and a chicken parm sandwich and in exchange got Raekwon's verse for The Red Carpet.

Khrysis also co-produced Bong and Scary Clown Music. When Little Brother and Dilated were on tour Ev and Khrysis did some beats together. Ev also had Khrysis some in and play the bass and organ on I Don't Need Love from Cats & Dogs.

I'm losing it over how long I've been waiting for this project to drop. Can't even believe Just Step leaked out 4 years ago already. Then the January 1st announcement on Youtube, followed by 6 months of nearly complete silence.. I know it's coming, but damn. Give us something, anything.

If it helps the album is either mastering or done mastering. The video for the single is shot. Rhymesayers takes their fukking time with shyt they know people want, but they have a big show on Jul 27th, and I'm sure there will be a single and or more info by then. I feel the same way. I was ready since The Layover. I still rock Just Step often too.
