Aren't actually leading anyone and are only following someone else's lead.
This is oh so true on social media. You know, the idea that someone is a leader because they have followers on facebook, twitter, instagram and etc while using a platform on someone else's creation. The irony is that these are the same people who can't think for themselves enough where they are also following whatever trends, cosigning what's popular and etc without being willing to think for themselves as individuals and being confident with their own opinions and views especially if it ain't a part of the majority. In other words, they are followers themselves that want to have illusion that they are leading people by having "followers". They can't lead themselves and have the confidence to stand up for their own individuality where they stand alone regardless of what other people think. Having "followers" is a source of validation from others to make up for their own lack of confidence. They are scared to stand alone or the idea of being a leader to themselves when in reality, every adult has to be a leader and follower to themselves. That's what they are supposed to be doing anyway.
I see so many people following and agreeing with shyt but don't even think they themselves know what they are saying yes to. They just see everyone else doing it or hear that a certain thing is about fighting for injustice or whatever then blindly follow along with other having any idea what they are getting into. No skepticism, no questions, no uncertainty and etc. Basically trying to stroke their ego. Hence, the whole BLM movement and iphones.
Just saying because it shows how many people can be easily manipulated into something or be tricked or controlled without knowing it.
