Gervonta Davis-Rolando Romero: ALL ACCESS Series Debuts on May 21, Showtime

BY RANDOM HITS
Published Fri May 13, 2022, 07:21 PM EDT
SHOWTIME SPORTS will chronicle the buildup to the SHOWTIME PPV battle between five-time world champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis and unbeaten No. 1-ranked contender and mandatory challenger Rolando “Rolly” Romero with a new installment of the Emmy Award-winning series ALL ACCESS.

The two-part series premieres Saturday, May 21 at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT on SHOWTIME immediately preceding the David Benavidez vs. David Lemieux SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® telecast with the epilogue premiering Saturday, June 4.

ALL ACCESS: DAVIS VS. ROMERO peels back the curtain to reveal how the two fighters prepare to settle their longtime score on Saturday, May 28 live on SHOWTIME PPV in an event presented by Premier Boxing Champions. Davis and Romero have been on a months-long, grudge-fueled collision course filled with verbal sparring and social media taunting and now, as the time nears for them to step into the ring and bring big-time boxing back to Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y

., ALL ACCESS sees them at their most candid. Boxing’s hottest attraction, Davis, details his new-found focus and motivation following his decisive victory over Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz last December, while the normally brash and flashy Romero shows an introspective side as he details his upbringing in a dangerous Las Vegas, reflecting on what brought him to this moment.

Filming is underway as Baltimore native Davis prepares with longtime trainer Calvin Ford in Miami, Fla., and proud Cuban American Romero trains in Las Vegas under the tutelage of Bullet Cromwell.

ALL ACCESS: DAVIS VS. ROMERO EPILOGUE will premiere Saturday, June 4 immediately following the conclusion of Stephen Fulton Jr. vs. Danny Roman SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING telecast.

Davis vs. Romero is promoted by Mayweather Promotions, GTD Promotions and TGB Promotions.

Rollie might as well just walk out with his chin out/hands down every round. All of his session/work out videos are unintentionally hilarious.

If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Why you think so breh?

Biggest puncher Tank has fought, a guy (Rolly) that’s probably really too big for the weight class with caveman strength/power — that’s not coming from a lower division, not on the back end of his career, not a champion with next to no power. Rolly has the longer reach and he legitimately believes he is going to sleep dude. It doesn’t matter if I think Rolly has a chance if his heart pumps Ryan Garcia. However, he really does think he’s going to fold breh. Look, Tank is a good fighter. He hasn’t proven himself to be a great fighter yet as a byproduct of his competition. Triangle theories don’t work in boxing, but Isaac Cruz had good success against Tank.
If Rolly can land those same kinda shots…. Man, he can get Tank out of there.

I’ll put it like this, I don’t see Rolly as a no-hoper. Hell, Tank doesn’t even see it like that how he’s been crying about this fight and how they’re trying to make him lose.
