Even Browns radio 📻 asking “why not cut him if you hate him so much” THIS IS MY EXACT SAME QUESTION!!!! And they always answer the same …

“He was a 5th round pick no one wanted him”

Then cut him

Then they say

He won’t be picked up

So that won’t be your concern :dahell:

I just don’t understand the issue of cutting him

If he ends up selling cars at a car lot so what at least the man you hate is not on your damn team

They don't want to look stupid. It's all ego and petty with the consistently bad teams.

The Rams, Cardinals, Bucs, Colts, Chargers, Jags, Jets, and Lions are spots he had potential to get scooped up as a back up or their 3rd QB.

If McVay or Stiechen get ahold of someone who's as accurate as he is they'd manufacture ways to make him look amazing.

Despite his flaws, I think Shedeur did enough to be worth developing and usually the way the Browns are, he could see the field by mid season.

Even if they like Gabriel more, it'd just be poor asset management to cut him

At worst, they can let him learn and flip him for a pick at some point in the next year or 2

Got a potential first round talent one fire sale. Makes all the sense in the world not to trade him or cut him.

Remove his name. Be logical. Is he treated differently from any other 5th round rookies?

At least he has an old dude who from off half a decade ago and an untested rookie ahead of him. Could’ve been a lot worse.

It's obvious that the browns painted themselves into a corner with the QB moves and now they're stuck. They probably wanted Sheduer but got caught up in the obvious collusion against picking him high and grabbed Gabriel. Then seeing Sheduer on the 5th round clarence rack got him to. Then they get Pickett and Flacco. Now you have a Super veteran, a veteran, and TWO rookie QBs. The Browns turned their QB situation into squid games. They can't even focus on rookie development because there's two and they don't think either is better than Flacco.

They have to ride it out or look like complete jokes. If they cut one and he goes somewhere else and is good, they look stupid. If they keep them it turns into RG3/Kirk Cousins in Washington the minute the other one loses.
