YT comments have always been a cesspool of trash but what I have been noticing is people thanking random people for liking their comments



people are legit happy when they get a bunch of likes to a comment on a YT video. That's some sad shyt brehs

And also add to the fact that a lot of people when they blow up on YouTube don't read the comments as much anymore so if you're getting responded in a YouTube comment that's kind of a good thing.

Especially on pages where there is many bot accounts that's spam the hell out of every music video, if you're getting a comment response back from a video's content creator. That's that ill shyt you should be thankful for because most of those YouTube bloggers really don't have time to answer people's comments like that.
Trust me I'm someone who stocks the comment section frequently!

YouTubers get paid for every view, like & comment being posted...YouTube cuts them a monthly check based on all of that so of course they simp up towards their followers...why else do you think people go through lengths creating their own channel & building a following on YouTube...just to waste time?

I don't think OP means the actual YouTuber responding to comments left, he's talking about when people watching the video leave comments, then that particular comment gets a lot of likes, the commenter feels like they need to give thanks instead of just letting it be.
