Ever gotten the wrong impression from people whenever you're in a suit?

Just the other day I wore a suit on a date and people on the street assumed that I was some kind of pimp (I only wore a suit and tie. No jewelry or pimp cane). Initially I found it funny but then I was offended. A buddy of mine had a similar experience when he went to Europe (I think Germany or Austria). He was out with a bunch of friends (all white women) and people assumed he was a pimp (because he too wore a suit frequently).

Why can't a black man wear a suit and not be assumed to be a drug dealer or pimp? shyt is offensive as fukk.
