But to see nikkaz facin' 30+ yrs for murder in 2011, then a witness comes up dead, and to see the parole date is 9/4/2014 because all they could get him on was a heroin charge

You know if he killed a white dude, he gettin life off top, but kill a black man, it's "we'll put you back on the street so you can do it again" smh

I remember this dude who used to make me laugh everyday in my History Class is doing life for murder.
One of my good friends is doing 25 and he been in since 2008.
I think about everything I've done in that 6 year span, and to think he's been in the same place and ain't getting out anytime soon is fukking crazy to me.

Fugitive found and arrested for Brighton murder

A man wanted in a Brighton murder earlier in September has been captured.
Information from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office shows Eric Law, 27, of Birmingham, was arrested for the murder of LaDarius Gaitor.
Gaitor, 21, was shot multiple times while sitting in his car in the 1200 block of McDonald Street in Brighton on September 7, 2009, and died en route to the hospital.
Gaitor's murder was believed to be in retaliation for a homicide that occurred in the Roosevelt City area on August 4, 2009.
That same night in August, Gaitor’s mother, Della Banks, was shot and killed as she slept in her Brighton home.
It is believed that Gaitor was the intended target when Banks was killed.
Sheriff’s Detectives following leads obtained a Capital Murder warrant on Law September 8, 2009, and an intense search for the suspect happened over the last week.
The suspect was located at the home of an acquaintance in Pratt City Wednesday afternoon.
Law was taken into custody without incident.
Two others at the home were arrested for unrelated outstanding warrants and a stolen car was also recovered.
Law is being held in the Jefferson County Jail for Capital Murder under no bond.
