Ever met someone that wanted to be a ref?

This old head at my church was a retired Big 10 Football ref.

I was a certified state referee(middle school and high school) years ago.

I might get re-certified one of these days. But I might go up in the stands at some of the fans and parents now a days.

Maybe it's in North Carolina, IDK I could be wrong, but doesn't ref have to live in a different county or certain distance in some places?

In my experience it was nikkas that were passionate but couldn't play the sport. Then would then half coach the lil nikkas and eventually settle being a ref...basically failed coaches

nah. Michigan just had a standard state certification. It was pretty simple. You had to download the book and take a test. Then they sent me my certified patch.

Was at a junior high basketball game and was like when I saw a nikka I went to school with, standing at half court, ready to toss the jump ball

I knew a few brehs who were refs for Middle school and high school basketball games .

One of them got real serious with it, doing AAU tournaments across the country.


Wouldn't be surprised if he made it a career by now.

shyt ain’t easy. Refs take all kinds of abuse. Seen some wild shyt go down at some of these little kids games.

It’s a way to earn between 150 to 400 on a weekend tho, between middle schools and youth leagues.
