Im not a gun person, but i started looking into gun ownership. I hate that these racists actions made me change up on something i felt strongly about. But it is what it is...ive starting to look into the process of legally purchasing. :francis:
That's pretty much me. Never was a gun person, but seeing these racist stockpile for what is clearly in case they want to try to exterminate us change my mind.
Now i got a little arsenal.

Yall are products of the system. Y'all are conditioned.

Guns aren't racist. They are tools.

It's like roofing. Some people be like "roofing? I ain't Mexican!" It's a job. A job you can start your own business in.

A Toyota Camry? I ain't Chinese! Meanwhile they last on the road longer than any car.

A craftsmen toolset? I ain't no Tim the toolman Taylor, this ain't home improvement!

We are conditioned that we are either going to be the victims of gun violence by black people, gangs, white supremacist and people who hate blacks and cops. Yeah sometimes that happens. But the guns aren't the problem.

Its rational to not be a gun person after the conditioning but when you understand how it's just a tool, blaming the tool itself and extreme avoidance isn't the answer. It's an acceptable choice. If you don't want a gun you shouldnt have one. But there's usually underlying factors at play and frankly no one has to justify not owning or wanting to own even though I believe every black person should be educated and should own.

I agree guns are tools, and i always felt that way. I just thought the tool was too dangerous for me to weld given the value i get out of it.
I recognize that a the electrical in my house is just tools too, but i'd rather let an electrician deal with all that than kill myself trying install a new fuse box.

I was saying we equate guns to "the white boys" having them or "racists" having them. They have them but that doesn't make guns bad or wrong.

Trying to install a new fuse box is more work than you are willing to, which is fine.

Some people are comfortable buying a firearm, some are comfortable putting them together on their own.

Some people are comfortable building and testing explosives :yeshrug: obviously that's too far for most. But your only willing to do what your willing to do.
