This is the equivalent to if I moved to Brazil and told black Brazilians they have “no culture” because they only speak Brazilian Portuguese (the language they are acculturated to). Meanwhile I have a culture because I speak English and Portuguese.
shyt makes no sense, but that’s what happens when you make your entire identity revolve around being a foreigner, only being proud of your country of origin when you’re not in it.
