To be clear, these aren't necessarily the most-listened to bands in each state, but rather the bands that have unusually high support in each state. So for example, Vermonters skew more toward Phish more than other Americans do, and Texans are bigger George Strait fans than anyone else.

yea it's not the most popular musician, it's just musicians that have an usually skewed support in one state over the others

I consider myself to well informed when it comes to music, and I've never heard of half the ppl listed. I know one thing, while I MAY () have an album or 2 from Jack Johnson in my iTunes library, I've NEVER heard anyone playing him at any point in time in my state.

The only ones I can see being correct is Springsteen and maybe Juicy J (though I would assume it would be someone Country for TEN). I can also see Country being big with Texas.

Again it's not the most popular artist in the state. Just the artist that garners much more support in a state compared to others. Lil Wayne is pretty much liked all over, same I guess with Beyonce and such therefore they won't be on a list like this
