All of these count except American Dad. Francine is a clueless, clingy bimbo. Stan can tell her he shyts gold and she'll buy it.

And George Lopez's wife was like a spoof of sitcom wives, she always tried to sensitive approach and it blew up in her face

I wouldn't say Uncle Phil was an idiot either.

And does Michael Bluth from Arrested Development count even though his wife was dead.

I think your example is more prevalent in commercials. Ever notice how in most commericals the father is a fat, bald, idiot while the wife is skinny, attractive, and the intelligent one ?

This came as a result of feminism. It was cool to bring the dad down and emasculate him in front of his wife and kids. Back in the 60's and 70's, Dad was the goddamn boss, his word was law.

hell yea when my grandfather said he wanted something done shyt got done. And noteben on no disrespectful level towards my grandmother. Now a days chick want to ask what, when, why. And they wonder why the value of the American family has been on a decline.

That's what I was about to say. In American Dad Stan is the one with the most competence in the relationship. There is some episodes where he does crazy shyt but usually it's the whole fam that has to stop him not just Francine.

Danny Tanner was a single dad with 3 GIRLS, a successful TV anchor & a clean freak who spit gems at the end of every episode prefaced by "I'll go talk to her".

Then he had a fringe bum comedian friend living in his basement...and a failed musician bro-in-law living in the house too.

When the musician got married, they moved into his fukkin attic with TWINS instead of moving out.

When the bum comedian finally got a TV gig...he still lived in the basement. :why:

In other words, Danny Tanner held shyt down!
