This reminds me of when everyone was trying to rap like Das Efx

The fascination with the early nineties styles war era is gonna bring the same ruin it did back then..
Except it is gonna be worse.

Still remembers when the whole YMBMC camp took Big Sean's style before he blew on the mainstream :mjcry:

Sean said fukk it and started doing that offbeat flow he's doing now :obama:

How come nobody complained about this from 2001-2005 when Jadakiss, Cassidy, Fabolous, and 1,000,000 other eastern seaboard rappers from NC to ME...using the same 3-4 syllable setup-punchline-setup FORMAT...(I don't call static formats flows...flows change)

Jada cass fab

Sound nothing alike flow wise

Only 2 east rappers that sound alike flow wise is fab and banks

Why do new york nikkas call changing the rhyming words in a static pattern "changing flows". Nah...the nikkas style use the same amount of rhyming words per bar on the end. They just rhyme different words. Changing flows is flipping inside words into the outside word of the next pattern. Not tryna be on some baronx shyt but y'all learn things wrong due to your peers and teachers.

Only nikka that comes to mind as a perfect example is Royce da 5'9"

How the artist's cadence switches up on the beat instinctively as he goes along... naturally the rhyming words would start playing hide and seek like a sing-along video if the artist knows what he's doing, but I think cats are thinking of the rhythm of the beat... if the artist's rhythm switches up outta nowhere on em they call it changing flows cause the focus is on the rhythm of the artist over the beat as opposed to the actual lyrical display. Maybe i'm getting what you're saying wrong though. LMAO @ the bolded
