What’s worse is all that electronic shyt we copped 10,15,20 years ago is either collecting dust or in a landfill leaking out poison to our soil
Electronic disposal is super super regulated.

None of that stuff goes to a landfill. It gets dismantled and recycled. Electronic Recycling is s gigantic industry

Now if these tech heads could stop remaking the same exact phone with minor upgrades like better camera, more emojies, and new design and adding useless filler apps every two years or so than we be good. Can't even go in a tunnel without losing signal.

It doesn’t go to a landfill here in the states, it gets shipped to places in Africa,India and China where folks burn it and try to extract the very little precious metals inside

Maybe from other countries, but not from anywhere in North America.

Any company, person, etc, that was found shipping electronic waste to those places would be fukking ruined with fines, penalties and litigation. EPA would eat them alive.

The contracts for Electronic recycling are huge business. I used to work in that industry. Any potential hazardous electronic waste is sent to recyclers and broken down and reused.
