Yeah but what’s the alternative? All the social media platforms were bleeding money before they figured out targeted marketing. These are the most used programs in the world, the cost to maintain the software and hardware supporting them is astronomical.

Maybe, yeah, but for them knowing everything about everyone and everything also means knowing how to get by laws and security…

We will have a new world constitution after the pandemic wipes out a good chunk of the population, with all new laws, most of them being laws giving up most of the “freedoms” we enjoy today.

The bright side is, they’ll know exactly what it takes to keep folks pacified so it won’t matter much I guess, as long as you stay in your place, never bore of the creature comforts they provide, and start shaking the cage.

Explain this a little better.Im not getting what you're saying.One thing about the metaverse is alot of it is based on decentralization so there will be ways of maintaining anonymity. You wont have to worry about something you did in the metaverse leading to a confrontation in real life.

They already know more about everybody in this thread than we can remember about our damn selves, can use that data to pretty accurately predict what we’ll do in the future, and they’re still in the infant stages.
